IEC61850standard is the most comprehensive communication standard by far inthe field of power system automation. Because of the outstanding performance in theimproving equipment interoperability, for the future demand of openness and scalability,It has been widely applied around the world. IEC61850standard has become one of thecore standards in the field of digital substation and the smart grid. The application ofIEC61850standard has a significant impact on substation communication process,information transmission way has had change. Single-phase to ground fault line selectionfunction as an important function of neutral point ineffectively grounded system, willmust meet the requirements of IEC61850standard, under the trend of rapid developmentof digital substation. However IEC61850standard for fault line selection function is notclearly defined, therefore conform to the IEC61850of fault line selection functionmodel was established as the essential prerequisite for the development of digital faultline selection device.This article analyzes the content and architecture of the IEC61850standard.Understand many advanced technologies used in IEC61850standard such as theobject-oriented modeling, the abstract communication service interface, the specificcommunication service mapping and the substation configuration language. On the basisof indepth study the intelligent electronic device modeling process, analysis the functionof fault line selection communication needs. According to the IEC61850standarddefinition of information model and the extension principle, establish the function offault line selection logical node. According to the feature of fault line selection device,which need measuring the multiple interval data, extend the measuring logical node,meet the requirements of intelligent electronic device information model is established.By using the substation configuration language, writing the ICD file of fault lineselection device. Meet the IEC61850standard configuration of intelligent electronicdevice project requirements Seriously analyzed the manufacturing message specification(MMS) mapping relations with relevant concepts in the IEC61850standard, Completed the abstract communication service interface model of information and services to MMSmapping. Design and develop the function of fault line selection device communicationprogram, realized the device communication between with the substation control layer.Using IEDScout and fault line selection device connected, tested the communicationfunction is designed in this paper, through the MMS Ethereal software analyze themessage and verify the rationality of the model.
