The car fine high speed or low adhesion coefficient road at extreme conditions, dueto automotive steering and external disturbance, tire lateral adhesion easily reachsaturation, the car lose stability control, the traffic accident to happen. AutomotiveElectronic Stability Program is the new generation of active safety control system, it cansignificantly improve vehicle handling Stability under various extreme conditions.On the basis of in-depth analysis of vehicle stability control principle, to complexnonlinear time-varying characteristics, the ESP system using MATLAB/Simulink software,the establishment of a reasonable car ten degrees of freedom vehicle model with twodegrees of freedom linear reference model. Combined with Direct Yaw-moment Controlstability thoughts, two kinds of Control strategy based on fuzzy Control theory ispresented, were designed yaw rate and sideslip angle fuzzy PID controllers union, yawrate and sideslip angle fuzzy sliding mode controller combined. Using these two methodshave been conducted under the condition of the limit condition of simulation, thesimulation results show that these two kinds of control strategy can effectively improvethe stability of the vehicle, and the control effect of fuzzy sliding mode control strategy issuperior to the fuzzy PID control strategy.To verify the effectiveness of the control strategy and adaptive, but also for the ESPsystem to meet real-time requirements, based on xPC Target with MATLAB/RTW buildscars ESP Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation system test platform, in the loop simulationtest analysis, research and development and design for automotive electronic stabilitysystem provides a powerful economic and technical support.
