Control technology for steering system of Adaptive Front-lighting System makes animportant impact on the safety of vehicles driving at night. Because commonly used AFScontrol system for motor exist poor maneuverability and slow response to dynamicallysteering, this paper reaseches the control principle of steering control system maneuverabilitybased Adaptive Front-lighting System for for motor.Firstly, the paper researches the impact factors of the vehicle handling dynamicscharacteristics to steering control system of AFS, analyzes the reasons of poormaneuverability from vehicle steering characteristics. Discusses the influencing factors of theheadlight steering response lag from the NC steering, stepper motor, AFS lamp holder andcontroller. On this basis, proposes the control method of maneuverability based cars AFSsteering system and designs the corresponding control system. Then researchesmaneuverability based AFS steering system for motor. Finally, builds car AFS steeringcontrol system simulation model through ADAMS and MATLAB/Simulink software andanalysis the result of simulation. In order to verify the feasibility of the steering controlmethod the maneuverability based cars AFS, builds the cars AFS steering control system andconducts characteristic experiment and experimental system model identification based onleast squares...
