| With the rapid development of economy and urbanization processes, more andmore construction activities for underground space occur in cities of China, whichleads to a large number of deep excavations. This thesis studied mainly on a newtype of excavation system with anchors reinforced by cemented soil column,including a case study in Kunming of the Yunnan Province.The main research contents and results of this thesis are as follows:(1) A comprehensive overview of the mechanical properties and analysismethods of deep excavation according to a large number of references was made.The deformation form and regulation of the excavation support structures as well asthe monitoring methods at construction sites were also summarized.(2) Jet mixing soil with cement and anchoring technology, as a new type ofexcavation system with anchors reinforced by cemented soil column, is introducedmainly on its structure, construction process and functional mechanisms. Itsadvantages are described contrast to the conventional support systems.(3) The well-known FEM software PLAXIS was briefly introduced and wasthen used to analyze the excavation system with anchors reinforced by cemented soilcolumn. The results of the numerical analysis are compared with measured data froman excavation project in Kunming. Some useful conclusions of the modeling andcalculation can be guide to the further application of this new kind of technology. |
