Cable for emergency repair in mountains is a special type of delivery equipment, which can be suitable for steep slope, cross slope and mixture of both terrains. It mainly applied to the mine accident, earthquake, and oil pipe repair etc. Once an accident occurred, it usually causes tremendous economic loss and negative social influence. While how to measure and control the carrying capability of the cable is still a pending problem demanded to be solved ASAP in the engineering field. For the security evaluation system of cable for urgent repair in mountains has not been established yet, so it means a lot to evaluate the safety of the cable via a scientific method.Main contents of the paper as below:1) Analyze the current status of urgent repair equipments in mountain areas at home and abroad by using the method of documentary and technology.2) Based on the survey, the main design of the whole transportation equipment of urgent repair has been completed.3. Make the analogue simulation and simulation analysis on the cable system by using the SW of PRO_E and ANSYS separately.4) Designed the structure and the software platform of the tension monitoring & control system for the cable.5) Proposed a safety evaluation method for the cable transportation system of rush repair in mountains.6) Accomplished test of the cable in mountain terrain, obtained a series of conclusions on the comprehensive analysis of the result.The test results proved that,in mountains cable transportation system possessed obvious advantages in rush repair for its high efficiency, low working strength, and large loading capacity. The technology feasibility of the cable and the fuzzy evaluation method based on AHP are proved. The test of the experiment equipment accumulated lots of scientific data for its further study. Computer aided design (CAD), method of tension monitoring and controlling, and safety evaluation in this paper are of significant engineering value, which are also of great reference value for designing of the device, its manufacturing and construction at the same time.
