Abstract/Summary:
Mine gas drainage is the most effective way to address gas emission of mining-coal bed and gas problem at working face. However, gas drainage efficiency in China is relatively low, the efficiency is much lower than that in those main coal-producing countries, such as America and Australia. The main reason is that the gas drainage system of most coal mines in China have no intelligence and have low automaticity, thus making it hard to optimize efficiency. Therefore, building methodology of efficiency optimization and intelligent and reliable gas drainage system are keys to achieve high efficiency and low energy consumption techniques. Also, they can promote safe and efficient coal mining techniques and meet the requirements of national long-term energy strategy development.The paper design an intelligent gas drainage system framework. It includes two process:(1) Static match analysis for drainage performance and drainage object;(2) Dynamic control mechanism based on real-time physical simulation. Based on the framework, this paper established match analysis system and evaluate the performance of gas draianage system and drainage object. Also, the paper contains the software “The match analysis system for performance of drainage system and drainage object V1.0”. In the meantime, some cases of Pingdingshan 1st coal mine, 8th coal mine and 10 th coal mine are evaluated by the software. Then, the intelligent gas drainage system is divided into 7 logic layers. The purpose of the first 4 layers is to achieve Internet of Things, and the purpose of the second 3 layers is to achieve efficiency optimization based on physical simulation.Operating principle of IoT valve are designed and some key components are introduced. The intelligent valve based IoT is eventually developed through programming work in Arduino. The functions of intelligent valve include monitoring enviromental parameters of pipeline and emergency control for accidents. Moreover, the paper established a physical model to research efficiency optimization for gas drainage system, and finally some important conclusions about optimizating efficiency with valves are made.This paper developed the software “Goaf gas flow field simulation software V1.0”, which uses COMSOL with MATLAB and MATLAB GUI techniques. Engineers can easily simulate gas transport and distribution for different ventilation, mining and drainage conditions, thus they can optimize ventilation, forward speed and amount of gas drainage, so that they could achieve efficient comprehensive management for gob gas. Software includes a variety of multi-field coupling mathematical models, such as goaf permeability evolution, gob gas non-Darcy flow and gas convection and diffusion. In the demonstration, simulations about gob expansion coefficient, gas concentration and permeability distribution are made, reflecting the low permeability at compacted area, higher gas content at upper corner and verifying the accuracy of the software.
