Flue gas turbine blade is a typical complex surface parts which has a difficult machining process. The traditional processing method is roughed on the three-axis CNC machine tools in the first, then grinding, polishing, etc. for precision work. This processing method is not only time consuming, but also can not reach the precision and quality requirements. At present, as the combination of multi axis NC machining technology and complex surface high performance precision processing technology, processing of gas turbine blades with high quality, high precision and high performance has become the industry trend. Therefore, the research on this process has a very important theoretical significance and practical significance. The main contents and conclusions of this paper include the following points:(1) Solved the question that how to select the optimum cutting parameters according to the characteristics of the work piece and the specific machine tools, so as to maximize the performance of machine tool and the machining efficiency in machining;(2) The non interference tool path of five axis NC machining of the gas turbine blade has be completed. The calculation method of five axis end milling process has be presented. Also, put forward a method which based on the parameter mapping method of parameter to design the specific process of blade semi finishing and finishing path. The tool path of rough machining of blade has be designed too;(3) Completed the flue gas turbine rotor blade CAD surface modeling process and blade CAM automatic programming process, get the optimized NC program of the five axis NC machining. Made processing experiment to verified on the MAZAK Integrex100-â…£ five axis NC machining machine tool, and achieved good results.
