As an important part of the superplastic forming machine which is the special equipment for superplastic forming, the heating system is used for heating and heat retaining. With the superplastic forming technology used widely in aerospace and other fields, it is necessary for the study of the special machine, and it has realistic significance for improving the research of its key technology and the structure. In the process of heating system design, the calculation of the heating element and the design of the structures are very intricacy, the traditional manual calculation and 2-d drawings can’t meet the requirements of enterprise. In order to shorten the design period of heating system and to improve the design efficiency, this topic procedural the design process of the heating system and studied the technology of the parametric design.The article designed a heating system for shaping aluminum alloy in superplastic forming technology, and the highest temperature of the superplastic forming machine can reach 600°C. The specific work includes determining the size of the heating area size, selecting furnace material and designing structures. The paper also calculated the power by using empirical formula and energy balance method. The specific distribution of power and the design of the electric heating element are also analyzed in detail, as well as the design of the door opening and closing system.The paper studied specific secondary development technique based on the SolidWorks 3-d modeling software and the parametric design methods of the parts. According to the characteristics of the heating system design and the correlation between the various parts of the design, especially the requirement of assembly dimension, the article gave the parameterized scheme in accordance with the system, also It established the parametric design system by using Visual Basic 6.0 as a SolidWorks development tools combined with SolidWorks API interface function, which can solve the problem of the heating power calculation and electric heating element design calculation, parametric modeling as well as automation engineering drawing.This article completed the main components manufacturing of heating system for shaping aluminum alloy, designed manufacturing process of the key components, completed its assembly.
