People gradually realized that the economy can not get sustainable growth without considering the environment. Therefore, in recent years, energy conservation and emissions reduction technology develop fast all around the world, especially in the photovoltaics(PVs) manufacturering industry. As an alternative to traditional energy, development and utilization of solar energy has great significance in satisfying the growing global demand for energy, reducing dependence on traditional energy resources consumption and strengthening the sustainable development of green economy.Although the PV technology is cleaner, safer and more common than fossil energy, photovoltaic products has a lot of embodied pollution. This article attempts to from the Angle of embodied pollution transfer in the trade, research the USA-China PV product trade, and tries to analyze the cause of the PV product friction and the development tendency of the PV product friction. On the basis of the analysis, this article will give some feasible policy suggestions for China and the United States government.First of all, this article elaborates the concepts of free trade and pollution, embodied pollution transfer, and the theory of trade friction;Secondly, this article make the scientific definition and classification for PV cells, embodied pollution and embodied pollution of PV cells;Again, through empirical research, this article analysis the transfer of embodied pollution between USA-China PV product trade from the aspects of the trade structure and the technical level; Finally, this article analyze the cause of the PV product trade friction and the development tendency of the PV product trade friction on the base of empirical research results, and give some feasible policy suggestions for China and the United States government in the end of the article.
