At present our country coal for the research degree is relatively low, with the vigorous development of the coal resources in recent years, resulting in a huge waste of valuable coal resources. Coal mining and deep research to fully understand and master the relationship between coal quality index for the rational exploitation of coal resources, has the important practical significance and utilization of coal resources.Through analysis and Research on the coal characteristics of the Santanghu coal field of Kumusu exploration area in this paper, the system analysis and its physical properties,chemical properties, industrial analysis, element analysis, process characteristics and washability aspects of variation, and the correlation between the quality indexes were studied.The main results are as follows:The coal characteristics in this area: the region to bright coal and semi bright bright coal.The region of coal class for long flame coal, non caking coal, of which the long flame coal,widely distributed, the region development, non stick coal, with low moisture, ash extra low-,high- high volatile, especially low- low sulfur, low phosphorus in extra low-, heat- special characteristics such as high calorific value. Area coal seam is high quality thermal power and coal chemical industry with coal, but also can be used for industrial boiler coal and civil coal.The coal distribution: coal ash distribution in the study area from the east to the west gradually become smaller, as the depth increases with decreasing trend. Ash and high ash coal in the coal seam outcrop near the majority, indicating that the sedimentary period of 1.5closed basin, coal volatile matter from the west to the east there is a change in trend, but not obvious, shallow coal volatile matter is relatively low. In the area of coal and the distribution of the volatile similar distribution. No. 2 coal calorific value of West High and low in the East; the No. 6 coal seam as things on both sides of the high, middle and low; the No. 9 coal seam as the East West High low; the No. 11 coal seam change trend is notobvious, the heat in the vertical depth did not change significantly. The distribution of sulfur content of coal from north to south, near coal seam outcrop of fault and high sulfur content of coal.The correlation of coal quality characteristics in the area are studied, in this area coal volatile with the decreasing trend to increase the moisture content of coal; heat with the ash content increased significantly increased trend; coal seam heat with volatile increases, but for the same coal, volatile calorific value were increased, no obvious change; heat with carbon content, hydrogen content increased with increasing trend; carbon content of coal decreases with the increase of volatile matter, is inversely proportional to the carbon content obviously,the area of non caking coal is larger than the carbon content of long flame coal; hydrogen content in coal increased, with the increase of the content of volatile, non caking coal hydrogen in this area is obviously higher than the hydrogen content of long flame coal is low;because the area of coal metamorphic degree is low, the relationship between carbon content and hydrogen content is not obvious; the low temperature coal tar yield with the volatile increase and there is a trend of rising.
