In this paper, the Al-Mn layer coating was electrodepositedon Q235 steel surface in AlCl3-NaCl-KCl-MnCl2 molten salts with diferent content of La2O3. Effects of the diferent content of La2O3 in the molten salt systemon the properties of coatingwas studied. The surface morphology, composition of the content, phase structure and corrosion resistance were investigated by using the method of SEM, EDS, XRD and electrochemical curves.The results showed that, after adding La2O3 in molten salt, the aluminum grains deposited on the surface of coating became from spherical and needle-like structure to unform and dense and layered alloy structure; La content in the coating significantly influence the performance of the alloy coating, with the increase of La content in the coating, coating structure of the alloy phase composition from Al8Mn5 into aluminum manganese alloy phase amorphous alloy phase.The Al-Mn ceramic coatings was obtained in Al-Mn alloy coatings by micro-arc oxidation(MAO) in electrolyte solution. In Na2SiO3 and Na2CO3 electrolyte, the influences of different electrical parameters on the Al-Mn alloy coating microstructure,phase structure of the micro-arc oxide film and corrosion resistance were studied. 4 g/L NaOH, 0.2 g/L KMnO7, 0.2 g/L NaF and 0.2 g/L C12H25OSO3 Na added in Na2SiO3 electrolyte respectively, to study the effect of different additives on the film performance.The micro-arc oxidation coatings surface morphology, phase structure and corrosion resistance were investigated by SEM, XRD as well as electrochemical curve. The micro-arc oxidation parameters in the Na2SiO3 and Na2CO3 electrolyte were determined by experiments. The results show that the coating of the La content has significant effects on the performance of the micro-arc oxidation film, with the increase of La content in the coating, coating corrosion resistance increase. Add KMnO7, NaF and C12H25OSO3 Na in Na2SiO3 electrolyte can obviously improve the performance of the micro-arc oxidation film.
