This topic research the status of elastic finishing agent on fabric, and do a large number of experiments and research work. According to the principle of molecular designing, processing parameters are optimized to prepare the linear structure of polyacrylate emulsion. The PA we prepared is with good mixing properties and applied to the elastic fabric finishing. By means of DSC, TG and other test methods, the influence of copolymer monomer, emulsifier, reaction temperature and time, functional monomer and other factors on the emulsion properties were analyzed and discussed. The whole content of this paper can be divided into the following three parts:In the first part, the influence of various factors on the properties of the waterborne polyacrylate emuls ion is discussed by experiments. Compared with PPG and polyester polyol structure of PA,the results indicate that the performance of waterborne PA emuls ion is achieve the expected effect by using PTMG. The average particle size and viscosity of PTMG polyacrylate emulsion are smaller, the emulsion is more stable, and the formation of latex film is more soft and tough. It was found that the increase of the addition amount of the rate of(PU/PA), the hydrophilic property of polyacrylate was increased, so the particle size of the emulsion was decreased. At the same time, as the emulsion partic le size decreases, the chance of collision between the particles increases, and the particle displacement decreases, resulting in emulsion viscosity rise.Through experiments, we determined the composition of polyacrylate. We analyzed the effect of different structure on the elastic finishing of polyacrylate and on the cotton fabric. The PTMG-1200 of the polymer polyol was determined, the ratio of soft and hard monomer was 74/21, and the amount of emulsifier was 1% to 1.5%.In the second part, w ater based polyurethane modified polyacrylate emuls ion was used to discuss the properties of the emulsion and the latex film. The results showed that the particle size distribution of PU/PA blend emuls ion has two peaks, but the PA emulsion had good single dispersion. With the increase of WPU content, the tensile strength and elongation of the latex film increased. However, the mechanical properties of the latex film were no longer increased or even decreased after the addition of WPU to more than 6%. According to the properties of the emulsion and the latex film, the optimum adding amount of polyurethane was 6%.In the third part, we study on the application of polyacrylate wrinkle finishing agent. The experimental results show that the pure PA emuls ion finished the fabric is much more better which has the structure of PTMG-1200,the ratio of soft and hard monomer ratio to 74/21. The fabric finished with this PA, fabric crease recovery angle enhance 28 degrees than the original cloth, elastic recovery rate in acute elastic recovery rate increased by 10%, slow play back to improve the rate of 9.5%. Tensile properties of fabrics increased 9N. when finishing fabr ic with the pure PA,the amount of finishing agent selected 50~60 g/L, 135 degrees Celsius for the best baking temperature, and the best baking time is 3 min.The best amount of WPU is 6%-8% in the PA/PU modif ied emulsion finishing agent. In 6% the amount added, fabric crease recovery angle greater than the original cloth to 20 degrees increase, and higher than the effect of the use of pure PA about 10 degrees. At the same time, the fabric breaking strength is increased by nearly 15 N.
