Model test has always been the important methods of scientific research, and the monitoring method and signal acquisition is the k ey to obtain valid data. This paper do analysis and prediction on coal mine underground reservoir model test results based on FLAC 3D numerical simulation software. And the result will be used to guide the design of the monitoring scheme for the experiment. And on this basis we get the coal mining overburden deformation and the change law of pressure information such as the coal pillar at last.By numerical simulation on the model test, we find the deformation laws of overlying strata after the coal excavation. Firstly, there is a strong relationship between the deformation curve of overlying s trata and the coal excavation mode, different ways of coal excavation means different ways of deformation and different rules to develop the deformation of certain poi nt to the time step. But we find that all the collapse curves of the whole face appears as an arched shape, and the cumulative deformation curve of certain point looks like a Boltzmann curve, and we find that there is little difference among the deformatio n caused by different Y value, it means that the deformation among the different Y is the same in the same condition. At the same time, we study on the laws of the pressure changes caused by coal excavation, especially on the changes of coal pillars pressure. We find that the laws mainly determined by the relative position between the measured coal pillar and the excavated coal.Based on the former analyzed result and the data requirement of model test, we design the whole monitoring system, including the basic types of sensors and their layout option. At the same time, the system demands both need of the precision requirement and the financial requirement. We choose two different ways to monitor the deformation-guyed displacement sensor and three-dimensional scanning. And the signal collection system can deal with different types of signal that exported by the sensors, the software that we installed on the system can deal with the data at real time, so we can see the data changes when the test is going on.Another big part of this paper is to analyze the data that capture from the test. It include two part: analyzing the laws of the deformation and pressure changes, and evaluating the monitoring system.
