The series-parallel machine tool is a new type of automated processing equipment, which has the advantage of series machine tools and parallel machine tools. So it has wide developmental and applied prospects. Series-parallel 3-PRS-XY machine tools of adjustable workspace are designed based on the analysis of the traditional 3-RPS parallel mechanism. The kinematic and dynamic models are established.The CNC system is type-selected and designed, and the prototype of the machine tool is built. The main research contents are as follows:(1) The mechanism part of the machine tool is designed and its workspace is adjustable instead of the traditional fixed mode. The rationality of this design was verified, through the 3D modeling. The main parts of the machine tool are structured designed. The strength of the main parts is checked through kinetic analysis software.(2) For the complex kinematics and dynamics analysis of the parallel mechanism, kinematics and dynamics modeling the series-parallel machine tool is established and the forward and inverse kinematics equations are obtained. In the end, the kinematic and dynamic models are verified.(3) According to features of series-parallel machine tool. The open system of "PC + motion control card" was chosen as the CNC machine tools. The hardware of the CNC system is configured and type-selected. The interface and initialization of CNC system are designed by programming software.(4) Setting up a series-parallel machine prototype platform; debugging a prototype preliminary; combining research and through running experiment of the machine to confirm the machine’s body, electrical hardware and control software is reliable and technically reasonable which reaching prototype expectations. |
