Pineapple peel slag contains rich cellulose, while soybean pulp contains rich protein. They are both agricultural by-products. This paper aimed to prepare series of blend composite hydrogels by using cellulose and protein extracted from these raw materials. Composite conditions and characteristics of hydrogels were studied. The main results are as below:Cultivars HX1 and Cultivars HX5 showed the relatively higher antioxidant activity between ten soybean cultivars. They can be chosen as the protein sources. Cellulose and protein were respectively extracted from pineapple peels and soybean seed. The extraction yield of pineapple peel cellulose was 23.62%, and the prepared pineapple peel cellulose reached 96.58% of the purity; The extraction yield of SPI was 44.38%, with purity of 83.27%.A series of factors would in varying degrees affect the preparation of hydrogels. The results showed that temperature, time and rotate speed should be adjusted in four periods. In the first period, temperature was 65 ℃, rotate speed was 10 r/min and time was 2 hours. Next period, temperature was 85 ℃, rotate speed was 20 r/min and time was 3 hours. Following period, temperature was 100 ℃, rotate speed was 15 r/min and time was 6 hours. In the last period, temperature was 70 ℃, rotate speed was 10 r/min and time was 1 hours. And the diameter ratio of magnetic rotor and reaction tube. [BMIm]Cl was chosen as the ionic liquid. Within the system, the adding amount was 2% to 8%, while the ratio of cellulose and protein can be set from 5:1 to 1:7. Under the conditions as above all, this paper prepared a series of hydrogels which had better structures and characteristics.Aimed to develop more functional properties and application fields, this paper studied the changes of protein and hydrogels after pre-process the proteins, such as desalting, acidizing, alkalizing and ultrasonic. These process above changed conformation of SPI. The prepared SPI blending with pineapple peel cellulose hydrogel was characterized by TPA, FIIR, TGA and SEM. The results showed that the new kind of hydrogels had better mechanical properties than the regenerated cellulose hydrogels.
