Sn with the advantages such as excellent corrosion resistance, good ductility, low melting point, persistent metallic luster, are widely used in sea land and air field as well as electronic equipment and packaging industries. Getting the good quality of coatings and maintaining the property of the solution attract the researchers’ attention, determining the optimum parameters and reducing impurities’ influence on coatings are the problems to be solved in time.In the thesis, it took the process of plating in tin MSA electrolytes on the strip. We study the different factors how to affect the properties of the tin plating solution and orthogonal test was applied to determine the optimum operating parameters on the basis of the porosity. It took the electrochemical test to measure the electrochemical performance and the compositions and morphologies of the plated at different Plating conditions were investigated by X-ray diffraction technique and scanning electronic microscope. Last, we measured the content of Pb by energy spectrum. It was useful to suppress the generation of Fe2+ by adding to the metal buffer agent(Aniline), and it was useful to suppress the generation of Pb by controlling experimental conditions.The following conclusions can be received by studying. The experimental temperature was above at 30 ℃, the current density 3.0 A/dm2, the content of MSA at 40mL/L, and the plating time 12 minutes.The surface topography and the corrosion resistance were better, and the coatings plated in the condition appeared diffraction peaks in the planes of(110) and(112), at the same time, the current efficiency and the stable performance of the plating solution were better. As additive content of the plating solution in 20 ml/L, tin coatings surface morphology and property were better. When the temperature, current density and the content of MSA were respectively 30 ℃, 3.0 A/dm2 and 40 mL/L, the content of Pb was less than 0.1 g/kg and the surface topography and the corrosion resistance were better.Aniline could control the generation of Fe2+, when the quality score of aniline was 0.75 %, the effect of suppressing was the best in 20~30 ℃.
