The Expansion Of Delayed Coking Unit Of Petro China Dagang Petro Chemical

As the expansion of the production scale of Petro China Dagang Petro Chemical Company, the processing capacity of atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit will be 5Mt/a. The production of vacuum residum will be 1.3~1.5Mt/a. However, the throughput of delayed coking unit is only 1.0Mt/a. As a result, the production of atmospheric residue is so large that the feedstock of catalytic cracking unit becomes heavier and it influences the throughput. In order to the total economic benifit of company, the throughtput of delayed coking unit should increase.This paper analyzes the existing problems of furnace, coking drum, fractionating system and compressor system and put faward improving actions according to the bottleneck in the enlarging & reconstructing project of 1Mt/a delayed coking unit. The calibration report shows that it creats the biggest economic benefit with the smallest investment.
