Oil shale is a kind of mineral energy with huge reserves, which can effectively make up the shortage of oil resources, but due to its high ash content, and low calorific value, its efficiency is low. The use of range is small, but it has a wide distribution all over the world, and many countries have huge reserves which make it get much research. The organic composition and structure study of oil shale, is the theory basis to make it high efficiency, these will have important scientific significance and guiding significance.According to orthogonal experimental method to study influence of mineral removal rates of particle size 、 solid-liquid ratio 、 HF density and soaking time.Obtaining that the optimum conditions were particle size of 0~0.2mm, solid-liquid ratio of 1: 10, HF density of 40% and soaking time of 5h. Under this condition YaoJie oil shale and LongKou oil shale ash removal rate could be over 90 %, the result can effectively get oil shale kerogen.Oil shale and organic matter after taking off the minerals were characterized,according to the SEM and XRD analysis, oil shale surface is uneven, containing minerals are mainly composed of clay, pyrite and calcite, its main ingredients are Si,Fe, Al, Ca and Mg oxides, when removing minerals, appeared a lot of carbon material dispersion peak, organic matter accumulation of kerogen structure are obtained. TG experiments showed demineralization made weight loss increasing, and the oil shale pyrolysied more thotoughly, but TG curve had the same trend, indicating that the overall structue framework of oil shale was not affected by the removal of minerals;By nitrogen adsorption analyzer, from pore size distribution can know that oil shale have small pore size, but the structure of the organic matter can become loose,and increase the surface area and pore volume,which was in favor of oil shale pyrolysis.From FT-IR analysis, oil shale’s main inorganic component is Si oxide, and organic matter composition mainly contained aliphatic CH, CH2 and CH3 and aromatic C = C structure, as well as C-O-C, C=O oxygen-containing functional groups.Shale oil restored by oil shale and organic matter were analyzed by GC/MS, shale oil is mainly composed of alkanes and olefins aliphatic compounds, aromaticcompounds, and nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur and other heteroatom compounds, shale oil composition from organic matter is more complex, especially the content of oxygen containing compounds and aromatic compounds increased.
