The Application Of Pleats And Position Printing In Design Of Series Clothing

Pleats design and position printing design are elements widely used in clothing design. The combination of pleat and position printing design not only enrich the clothing details but also highlight art and practical value of clothing. Additionally, to use pleat and position printing in design of series clothing is a kind of innovative design. Series clothing design which is an integrated style affected by many factors is common in brand fashion show and series products design. The aims of application of pleats and position printing in design of series clothing is enriching the experience in combination of pleat and position printing and knowing the way well to use them in series clothing design.This paper analyzes the influence factors and combination of the elements in the pleats and positioning printing and understands methods of using them in the garment monomer, and uses the practice experience in series clothing design. For the idea, there are four parts in the process of design practice. First, idea stage- to analyze the pattern, color, composition and style of item inspiration- makes sketching to illustration. Second, through the exploring stage, it is finished selecting of fabric and pleat types and the preliminary position of printing. Then, the details in clothing and position printing are improved, and the patterns get enriched. Last, the deeply design in series clothing makes them harmonious unity. The process including comparison, summary, analysis and others methods explores the creatively application of the combination of pleats and position printing.Through changing the influence factors of folding and positioning printing, it is found that single clothing is often affected by a single factor or composite factors. The problem which effect final looks, especially the difference between ideas and wearing effect, is solved by adjustment and recording of correction though the repeated experiments.According to the practice, not only the pleats design but also the positioning printing design is an independent design method. The combination of positioning and folding design should take into account the final wearing effect for reference. The design process is to take into account the individual design elements, but also to the overall design when the combination of design and application in the series design.
