Electrical Hammer contain Rotary Hammer and Demolition Hammer, is a great type of power tools, which is for making holes in hard masonry materials, such as concrete, stone, brick, etc. It’s widely used in road/ housing construction, government infrastructure, and housing decoration industry, sales volume is increasing every year. More and more power tool manufactures are driving into this field, and researches on hammer are becoming more and more important.Impact energy and impact frequency are two of the most important parameters to describe hammer performance. This project focus on impact energy measurement equipment designing, theory analysis and calculation on each of the sub-assembly, it developed a device that can accurately measure both impact energy and impact frequency, and applied in engineering developing system. The mainly researches are as follows:(1) Designed impact energy measurement equipment based on stress wave theory, and successfully measured the impact energy and impact frequency accurately. The uncertainty and accuracy are calibrated.(2) Deeply researched the calibration test. Every stress wave based testing need to be calibrated. Through theory calculation, numerical simulation(used LS-DYNA), and the experiment result from the impact energy equipment, found that the rebounding energy is critical to the energy calibration, it will affect the result 2-4%. And introduced a method to measure the rebounding energy.(3) Introduced the impact energy study and application on engineering developing, especially in production inspection, performance study, and structure optimization. All of the study are from engineering actual case.This project designed an impact energy measurement equipment, both calibration result and testing result accuracy are comply with the international measurement standard and power tool standard, provide effective basis for the equipment design, and also positive effect on the new power tool equipment standardization.
