In this paper, the adhesive ability of 8 Lactobacilli strains on intestinal epithelial cellline HT-29 cells was studied, and the effect of the strain with the highest adhesive ability on the adhesion and IL-8 production on HT-29 cells by Escherichia coli was studied. The results showed that the eight lactobacilli strains adhered to HT-29 cells with different degrees, of which L. plantarum 35 has the highest adhesive ability. L. plantarum 35 could protect HT-29 cells from E.coli adhering by competing, excluding and displacing with the inhibiting rates30%,33% and 59%,respectively the EPS of L.plantarum 35 at 500μg/mL inhibited E.coli to adhere to HT-29 cells by 32%. L.plantarum 35 could inhibit E.coli to induce HT-29 cells producing IL-8 by replacing, competing and excluding with the inhibiting rates 3%,28% and40%; The EPS of L.plantarum 35 could inhibit E.coli to induce HT-29 cells producing IL-8with dose-dependent, with the highest inhibiting rate 50% at 500μg/mL. L.plantarum 35 had no effect on IL-10 production by HT-29 cells.The results showed that Lactobacillus plantarum 35 has probiotic potential to inhibit the inflammatory bowel disease induced by E.coli.Finally, with the model of HT-29 cell to study the Oxidation resistanceof Lactobacillus plantarum 35 and it’s EPS.The results showed that Lactobacillus plantarum 35 and EPS inhibits H2O2 against HT-29 cells with oxidative damage.And it maked HT-29 cells survival increase to 17.56 percent. L.plantarum 35 and EPS increased HT-29 cells activity of SOD,GSH-Px,enhance the HT-29 cell ’s ability for antioxidant capacity,and reduce the level of MDA,as a result that reducing the extent of oxidative damage induced by H2O2 in HT-29 cells.From the eight strains of Lactobacillus selected No. 35 has strong adhesion ability of cells, antibacterial adhesion ability and anti-inflammatory oxidation resistance,it is a potential probiotic strains with function.
