It is very important for the atom transfer radical polymerization of acrylamide. This paper is that the use of self-synthesized terminated to the C-Br polyquaternary ammonium salt triggered initiator non-ionic acrylamide by atom transfer radical polymerization. Study of different priming system of single body acrylamide conversion rate changes with time changes and the kinetic curves, explores the in poly quaternary ammonium salt and potassium sulfate trigger conditions, under different conditions of acrylamide atomic transfer free radical polymerization of action. The specific contents are as follows:1.With N, N, N ’, N’- tetramethyl ethylene diamine(TMEDA) and ethylene dibromide(EDB) as raw material, through copolymerization prepared a terminal for the C-Br bond high charge density water soluble poly quaternary ammonium salt initiator, by single factor experiment exploring different solvent, raw material molar ratio, material concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time on raw material conversion and polyquaternary ammonium salt relative molecular mass effect, the optimum synthesis conditions for ethanol as solvent, EDB and TMEDA molar ratio of 2:1, the total material concentration 1.625mol/L,reaction time is 8 h, the reaction temperature control in 75 ℃. At this time, the raw material for the conversion rate for 51.69%, and the resulting poly quaternary ammonium salt with a relative molecular mass of 5035. The infrared spectra and NMR spectra show that the structure of the quaternary ammonium salt is consistent with the expectation. The TGA curves show that the quaternary ammonium salt has good thermal stability, for One step is to provide good conditions for the atom transfer radical polymerization of aqueous phase.2. Using acrylamide as monomer, nickel amine complex as catalyst system, discusses the different initiator system acrylamide atomic transfer free radical polymerization behavior.Single poly quaternary ammonium salt as the initiator, polymerization required for a long time, polymerization kinetics curves of linear correlation to 0.94052; using potassium persulfate as initiator, polymerization time required for relatively short, the polymerization kinetics curves of linear correlation 0.97408; when two initiator initiated polymerization, kinetics curves oflinear correlation as 0.96785. within a certain period of time, three kinds of initiator system showed polymerization process with good controllability.3. As a co-initiator system with poly quaternary ammonium salt and potassium persulfate, studied different initiator agent ratio, different amine complex ion concentration of nickel, nickel ions of different amine ratio, different monomer concentration and different reaction temperature, monomer conversion rate change trend with time changes and kinetics curve, draw the following conclusions when the monomer concentration was 10%, initiator ratio n(poly quaternary ammonium):n(potassium persulfate) =10:1, n(NiCl2):n(en) =1:2, n(AM):n([Ni(en)3]2+) =400:0.9, under the temperature of 50℃, acrylamide monomer conversion rate can reach 88.8%. The linear correlation coefficient and the polymerization reaction was0.96785, indicating that the reaction process in a certain period of time in accordance with the rules of good controllability, atom transfer radical polymerization.
