Coated film is an important branch and developed direction in high performance film.The invention of coated film improves performance of film due to an efficient production process include coating and laminating. With the roll-to-roll process flow in coating line of production, coated film is coated by special material ratio on a flexible material such as metal foil by the method of slit coating. Finally,it is winded into mold to make filml product rapidly. Tension and coating process directly affect the performance of thin film in the process of production.In the coating production line, the tension control of material works throughout the production process.Because the tension fluctuation will affect the quality of thin film coating, the accuracy of tension is one of the important factors that affects coating film product quality. Unstable tension will lead to excessive base material elastic deformation or even collapse. If tension is too small, it will make the material thick and affect the production efficiency and quality. In order to improve the product quality and production efficiency, tension control system is an important prerequisite for coated film.At present, the domestic companies have not installed roll-to-roll coating production line. The traditional production compared with the advanced coating technology is low production efficiency and high cost.This paper did research on continuous process and control technology of non-stop roll exchanging based on the analysis of coating production process of coated film. To realize the accurate tension control in continuous production process, a new compound tension control strategy is proposed. The paper establish a mathematical model of winding system and analysis the relationship between every parameters in control process.Then ACR、ASR and AFR is designed by transfer function.In the winding process, inertia and diameter changes at any moment so that the transfer function changes value.Therefore, Adaptive control method is applied to keep system have good dynamic result. The velocity of motor that changes the valume disturb the input speed of system.In order to solve this problem, Feedforward control is used to cancel disturbance.Finally, a useful coated film non-stop tension control system is designed, when meeting the production process of the production line speed at 120m/min and the width of film at 1m, the steady-state tension fluctuation is lower than ±1%, and the maximum dynamic fluctuation is lower than ±10%. Both the dynamic performance and steady-state precision of new system meet the requirement of production process.
