In Arhorchin for the object, based on SPOT5 images, refer to "Fifth National desertification and desertification monitoring technical regulations" and "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region fifth degradation and desertification land monitoring the implementation details" standard division desertifiation type and extent of desertification, to land desertification status quo.2009 monitoring data comparison and analysis of desertification land area, the dynamic changes and genetic type, extent, and to make recommendations for combating desertification. The main conclusions are:1. Desertification in the study area the main types of wind erosion, water erosion and salinization three categories. Wind erosion desertification land area 748154.15hm2, accounting for 99.63 percent of the total land area of desertification. Water erosion desertification land area 45.63hm2,0.01% only of desertification land area. Salinization desertification land area 2731.92hm2, accounting for 0.36% of the land area of desertification.2. Arhorchin mild desertification area 620315.00hm2,accounting for 82.61% of the area of desertified land; moderately desertified land area 123447.93hm2, accounting for 16.44%; severe desertification land area 7168.77hm2, accounting for only 0.95%.3. From 2009 to 2014, a total reduction of 593.41 hm2 desertified land area, rate of change of-0.08%. Desertification and the overall trend of improved variety of national ecological engineering construction are inseparable.
