In the reform and development of informational technology for the textile industry, there is a new type of fabric invented which is a new species in the damask family. Compared with the traditional pattern of fabric, It has many advantages for example: brightly color, third dimension strongly, raw material consumption, elegant appearance of pattern and so on. It mainly used for the material of leisure shirt, Arab headscarf and so on. On the automated production process, the control system which is an important part of the fabric has a direct impact on the efficiency of production and quality of the fabric. In this paper, it is studied the hardware and software of automatic control system for the floating fabric equipment. Firstly, the paper introduces the designing and weaving of floating fabric pattern principle. According to the key points of design and weaving process, the suggestion of control system is come true. Then, set up the software and hardware development platform, given to the design of hardware and software for system. After schematic, PCB drawing and software programming, the design is implementation. Finally, the control system take the comprehensive test in the test platform and the results achieved the desired effect.The design of the external pattern data storage media for the floating weaving pattern control system described in this article is using usb which is simple and easy to use. Hardware circuit is using the STM Cortex ?-M3 32-bit chip which has the function of USB OTG as the internal core. The design of hardware circuit uses LCD module and BC7281 keyboard interface module. The software design of this system using modular and structured program design idea and the programming language is the C language. The main program of the system include the USB data read, stepper motor control, the communications’ of RS485, LCD display, matrix buttons and other related modules.The system is proved to be stable and the product is meet the market requirements, according to the experiments in the lab and work site circumstances. It provides a practical solution for the control of electrolytic integration for float fabric machine.
