The oil and gas field development has been paid great attention in China’s fast-developing oil industry, which has made great contributions to national economy. New mathematical methods and computer methods will be used along with the advanced experimental testing technologies in the study of the widespread anisotropic reservoirs. Since the reservoir anisotropy may influence the development and the driving mechanism of reservoirs, it is very important to study the effective permeability of anisotropic reservoirs. In recent years, a large number of formation testing data and reservoir effective permeability of single point are available due to the increasing of wireline formation testing and MDT wells. In this paper, based on the cable/drilling testing data interpretation process of the complex fault block reservoirs in XY region. The interpretation methods and models of the cable/drilling pressure testing and pumping sampling fluidity are studied to get the reservoir effective permeability of single point; Absolute permeability is calculated by using conventional logging data and NMR data; The model of the relationship between absolute permeability and effective permeability is established; Scale conversion of tested permeability are also studied to increase consistency of interpretated permeability and testing permeability, so as to provide accurate and reliable reservoir percolation parameters for reservoir evaluation and productivity prediction. The following conclusions and understanding are obtained.(1) Comparing absolute permeability got from core experiment and NMR data, choose the best NMR permeability model to check the calculated permeability in order to get the most accurate calculated permeability.(2) Wireline formation tester can only get permeability of a single point. After upscaling process, an average permeability of a thick layer can be obtained.(3) After normalization process, calculated permeability model and WFT permeability model are established. DST permeability can be used to verify the effective permeability model. There are still some problems in the study of effective permeability calculation method for anisotropic reservoirs in XY region. A better effective permeability calculation method may be found with the further research. Due to the limimted research time, some content may not be fully expanded, such as NMR data can also be used on reservoir classification, grid method can also be used on upscaling, these issues are worthy of further study.
