In the battlefield environment, the efficient avoidance of fuel twice explosions after the oil tanks of combat machinery (warships, aircrafts, and tanks and so on) and transport equipment are hit under the bombs can significantly reduce the rate of equipment damage and casualty retio. The separate explosion-proof material can be filled into oil tanks of vehicles, aircrafts, warships and tanks or the oil tanks and pipes of other facilities to prevent combustion or explosion, when the tanks suffer from fire, impact of explosion wave and other unexpected accident. However, there are some problems in the application and promotion of the existing separate explosion-proof material. Based on this, the paper designs a new type of explosion-proof material compartment - spherical non-metallic separate explosion-proof material, and its substrate is modified. At the same time, the key factors that influence the explosion-proof performance of the spherical non-metallic material have been studied through shock tube test and equivalent explosion test. These provide technical accumulation and data support for the industrial production of the new type of explosion-proof material. The main conclusions are as follows:1.The volume fractions of the carbon fiber are respectively 4%,6.5%,8.0%,9.5% and 11%. And the tensile strength of the composite samples are respectively 62.7 MPa,71.6 MPa,84.2 MPa,97.3 MPa and 104.6 MPa. The tensile strength increases rapidly with the growth of the volume fraction of the carbon fiber from 6.5% to 9.5%. The compression strength of five sample materials are respectively 13.27 MPa,15.02 MPa,18.27 MPa, 19.79 MPa and 21.42 MPa. And the compression strength also increases rapidly with the growth of the volume fraction of carbon fiber from 6.5% to 9.5%.2.As the volume fraction of carbon fiber are 4%,6.5%,8.0%,9.5%,11% respectively, the thermal conductivity of composite sample are 0.39w/m·K,0.57w/m·K,0.84w/m·K, 0.97w/m·K,1.06w/m·K correspondingly. When the volume fraction of carbon fiber is from 6.5% to 8.0%, the thermal conductivity of composite sample increases by a large margin.3.The result of shock tube test shows that the mechanical property of separate explosion-proof material plays a crucial role among the mechanical property, electrical and thermal conductivity which are the influencing factors of explosion-proof performance of the spherical non-metallic separate explosion- proof material.4.The results of equivalent explosion test and shock tube test confirm each other, the mechanical property of the separate explosion-proof material is the dominant factor effecting explosion suppression. If explosion suppression of oil tank filled with spherical material is unrealized, the thermal conductivity of the material can reduce temperature parameters of fireball to a certain extent, weakening the explosion effect.5.Among the spherical materials with diameter of 30mm,40mm and 50mm, the suppression performance of spherical material with diameter of 30mm is the best, on the contrary, the suppression performance of spherical material with diameter of 50 mm is the worst, when they retain the same aperture structure, electrical and thermal property.
