Lab researches on polymer-surfactant agent flooding were made in 2004. Polymer-sufactant agent is modified from polymer and has the properties of enhanced viscosity and solubility as well as emulsification and the displacing efficiency is higher than that of the conventional polymer. To further prove field application result, a pilot test was carried out, mainly aiming at studying dynamic injection and production characteristics and the auxiliary adjustment techniques. The result shows that with the optimum combinations of different concentrations and types, water cut of the central well has stably maintained at below 88% for 62 months with a recovery of 25% at this stage. The injection technology is simple and no scales are found. Viscosity of the injected polymer-sufactant agent solution was increased and produced fluid emulisified. Compared with the conventional polymer flooding, cost reduced by 30%. All the above show that polymer-surfactant agent is a high efficieny oil displacement chemical agent with a promising application prospect.
