Oil Enterprises have set up many application systems in the information construction during the past decades. But the interoperability among the systems is hard to achieve, which products large number of “Single Information Island”. The emergency of data elements has brought a life for relieving this problem. Scholars at home and abroad have been trying to make the metadata registry to be the theoretical guidance to achieve information exchange and integration. Although they have got something, the metadata registries system’s(MDR) self limitation has led to the concepts’ not being organized together systematically, and also has brought trouble to enterprises who have been using the MDR.In order to solve the above problem, the thesis is focus on the latest metadata registry standard jointly issued by the International Standardization Organization and the International Electric Commission. We drew on the experience of part of the current data element theory’s result, built the MDR concept system and regulated the semantics of the concept to provide the organizing and sharing concepts both in MDR and data element catalog with strong theatrical support. The detail study contents are as follows:First, the MDR concept system’s building. We have put forward the data element registry frame model according to the relative content in the latest international data element standard. And we have confirmed the concepts’ composition structure of the MDR by stating the contents of each layer in the model and the relationship among them. What’s more, these concepts are linked together by the MDR concepts meta model, and the relationships formed the MDR concept system.Second, the MDR concept system’s expressing. XML and ontology is used in order to express the MDR concept system better. When XML is employed, the concepts’ XML Schema is drafted to confirm the structurized expressing procedure of the MDR concept system; While using the ontology, the MDR ontology transform frame is proposed to achieve the transform from the MDR concept system to ontology.Third, the data element standardized frame model. There are many kinds of concepts in the MDR, and they can work together to form the data element. The data element standardized frame model was put forward by dividing the data elements’ life cycles. In the study of the model, we studied the extraction method of data element, specific the four types of attributes of data element and carried out the MDR’s application pointing to the characteristics of data element.Forth, construction of data elements catalog in exploration and development. In order to organize the data elements reasonably, we’ve made sure the building procedure of the data element catalog, and proposed classification schemes of object class, property, representation class and operation. The building method and the exploration and development business are combined to form the exploration and development data element catalog, and exhibited part of the exploration and development domain data elements’ classification scheme.Finally, the data element registry’s relative theories mentioned in this article were verified. And the exploration and development data element registry platform is designed in detail and achieved it’s functions from the aspect of software engineering. And then the rationality and practicability of this thesis’ s study contents are verified.
