When we use spectrophotometric method water quality analyzers to measure the measured factor, if the detection factor concentration is too low and the photoelectric colorimetric structure sensitivity is insufficient, it will have a great impact on water quality analyzer measurement accuracy. If we can try to further improve the sensitivity of this detection method, it will have a new vitality. According to Lambert Beer law, if absorption optical path length increasing, sensitivity is proportional to the increase. Thus increasing absorption optical path in spectrophotometric method water quality analysis field has important significance. Oblique light photoelectric colorimetric structure water quality analyzer is a based on spectrophotometric method of single factor of monitoring water quality testing equipment. Its colorimetric part is adapt on a new oblique light photoelectric colorimetric structure. Compared to the structure with traditional vertical incident light path structure, without changing the than color plate specifications of increasing absorption optical path, It improve the measuring sensitivity, while ensuring the measurement accuracy is not affected.In this paper, the stability and reliability of PLC control system is adopted in the control part of the water quality analyzer of the inclined light path. The modular design was used in his monitoring part, making the maintenance more convenient and the equipment utilization rate higher. We used stepping motor to drive the creeping pump and the accurate measurement was carried out by using the visible photoelectric liquid level meter module in this design. Photoelectric colorimetric module was used of a new type of light path photoelectric color structure. We also used software methods to eliminate the measurement of bubbles and filtered the input analog signal of PLC. At present, the design of the optical path of the structure has been applied to ammonia nitrogen and nickel ion water analyzer. And we has completed its performance test.Compared with the vertical incident photoelectric color analyzer, the sensitivity of water quality analyzer was improved under the premise of ensuring the indication error, stability and repeatability.
