In this paper, the main research contents include the following aspects: analysis of the characteristics of natural gas hydrate,forming conditions and common processing method; Principles and functions of gas well downhole throttling made simple introduction, and the way of gas throttling. By means of vertical Wells to improve and perfect the choke, the overall structure of the horizontal well downhole choke has carried on the design, and on the slip stress and strength check, such as design of piston was calculated, meet the production requirements of horizontal well. For horizontal well downhole throttling parameters optimization design was carried out,including the selection of material, the depth and the diameter of the gas nozzle design, and the choke on and salvage process were studied and optimized. The last Great Wall drilling engineering co., LTD., the actual situation of gas field in the horizontal well downhole choke conducted among indoor test, through the evaluation on the performance of the choke,analyses its practical and technical effect, confirmed that the horizontal well downhole choke promotion value and development prospects.
