Naphthenic Base Lubricating Oil Distillate Hydrogenation Technology Application Research

Liaohe Petrochemical Company is the heavy oil processing base in CNPC. The base oil production capacity of Liaohe Petrochemical Company is 25×10⁴ t/a now, a large number of lubricating oil distillates was sold as wax oil or pitch, which made poor economic benefits. Hence, we want to get the best processing technology and processing scheme through the experimental study in order to fix it.This paper introduces the lubricating oil production technologies in the domestic and overseas at first, then the Fushun Research Institute isomerization dewaxing and hydrodewaxing processes were compared according to the literature investigation and the characteristics of feed that we get. The isomerization dewaxing process has more advantages in raising yield, therefore it is the better technology. Next, we get the best process conditions through a lot of test. The hydrogen partial pressure is 15.0 MPa, the ratio of hydrogen and oil is 1000, the hydrotreating volume space velocity is 0.40 h^-1, iso-dewaxing volume space velocity is 1.0 h^-1, hydrofinishing volume space velocity is 0.6 h^-1, hydrotreating reaction temperature is 385℃, iso-dewaxing reaction temperature is 305 ℃, hydrofinishing reaction temperature is 250 ℃. At last,we get the best processing scheme according to previous study and simulation results.At last, we design the lubricating oil hydrogenation process preliminarily. According to this study, we adopt the Hydrotreating- Isomerization dewaxing – Hydrofinishing technology to process the raw oil, which including hydrotreating, isomerization dewaxing and hydrofinishing, fractional distillation, and circulating hydrogen desulfurization parts. We consulted the previous studies to get the best processing conditions and schemes. The design size of this device is 50×10⁴ t/a. The main products are 3# jet fuel, 40# general transformer oil, 7# Optimal grade industrial white oil, or 15# Optimal grade industrial white oil, 22# refrigerating machine oil, KNH4008 naphthenic rubber filling oil, KNH4012 naphthenic rubber filling oil, the byproducts are light naphtha, low-aromatic solvent naphtha, and a small amount of fuel gas.
