Polysiloxane foam has the advantage of polysiloxane and foam material.Currently, it is widely used in medical, aerospace and other fields. The thermal insulation of polysiloxane foam is much poorer than other polymer foams, which restricts its usable range. Researchers are trying to improve the thermal insulation by adding inorganic particles in organic matrix. The main content of the study follows below:1. Hydroxyl silicone, hydrogen and vinyl silicone oil are utilized as raw materials.Through cross-linking curing and foaming reactions polysiloxane foam were prepared.Effects of the viscosity of hydroxyl silicone oil, the addition of hydrogen silicone and types of catalysts on the preparation process were discussed. Meanwhile, the cell morphology, mechanical properties and water absorption of materials were investigated, then got the optimal proportion of raw materials for preparation the polysiloxane foam.2. Two different montmorillonoids(Mt) as thermal insulation reinforced fillers to enforced the polysiloxane foam were employed. Mt-V is benefit to improve the mechanical thermal insulation of materials, and the lowest thermal conductivity is0.014W/m*K. The Mt-OH is benefit to improve the thermal stability, and the maximum residues of SIF composites could reach 76% at 800℃.3. The hollow micro spheres were modified by vinyl triethoxy silane coupling agent. The modified cenosphere has maintained the special round ball and the surface of hollow has introduced the chemical groups. The polysiloxane foam reinforced by modified hollow micro spheres has showed high thermal stability and insulation.
