The research content of this thesis is an important part of the major special project of Shan Xi provice "research of technology and equipment in domestic fully mechanized working face " (NO:20111101024). It is based on condition of the shortcomings in the state monitoring system in conveying equipment of fully mechanized working face of coal mine in China, which is of large volume. In addition, lacking in data acquisition and real-time, the monitoring function is not complete and difficult in upgrading and maintenance. It cannot meet the production requirements of a modern high-yielding and efficient mine. The state monitoring systems of Coal mine conveying equipment in foreign countries are of high price and long supply cycle. In addition, the operation is complex and inconvenient in network interconnection with other facilities. This occasion will serious influence the real-time and accuracy in online monitoring system of the fully mechanized coal mine conveying equipment, and will probably result in serious damage to transportation equipment and decline the efficiency of the mine production. Therefore, a fully mechanized working face condition monitoring and automatic chain tensioning system, which uploads the data to the PC through the communication network and finish the fault diagnosis by the adoption of Lab VIEW, has been established.Through checking the literature related to the topic, field investigation on the present use of fully mechanized working face conveying equipment monitoring system has been finished. The structure and function of the state monitoring and automatic chain tensioning system have been confirmed. By adopting the former established structural models, the bottom state monitoring and automatic tensioning network system has been formed. The terminals uses explosion-proof control box and the substations adopt the intrinsically safe controller. The main content is as follows:The overall plan of hardware for the substation controller of the state monitoring and automatic chain tensioning system has been confirmed. The PCB circuit of every function of the controller module has been designed which includes the CPU minimum system, keyboard scanning circuit, display circuit, communication circuit, signal acquisition and processing circuit, drive circuit, data storage circuit, clock circuit, infrared receiving circuit, and voltage conversion circuit, etc.. The experimental verification has also been conducted.State monitoring and automatic chain tensioning application software have been designed. Structured method has been applied to the compiling of software. The function library is compiled as header file, which is unified called when compiling the main program of the system. The structure of the software is clear and easy to check, which facilities the expanding of the program function. When expanding, the call can be realized by simply compiling the function to the corresponding header files. The function includes keyboard scanning, LCD display, alarm communication, signal acquisition, fault, drive control, wireless transmitter, and wireless receiver. In addition, the screen design and programming have been finished of the man-machine interface.The function test of the screen display, data acquisition, and comunation function of the state monitoring controlers has been debugged. The hardware debugging of liquid crystal display, signal acquisition, control and communication functions of the automatic chain tensioning controller has been finished. Stress measurement and wireless transmission function of the chain tension measuring sensor have been tested. At last, the EMC test on the system substation controller has been passed. The test results have shown that the system design scheme is correct and feasible, which can satisfy the expected monitoring and control function, and the system is of good electromagnetic compatibility.In addition, the spot test has been performed in Shanxi coal machine factory. The content is as follows:the condition monitoring of the conveying equipment, data display and data upload by the state monitoring station. Scraper conveyor tail pre-tension control, manual control and automatic control by the automatic chain tensioning station. Measurement of the chain tension and wireless signal transmission by the chain tension measuring sensor. The results have shown that the state monitoring station can display the signal of the state signal of transmission equipment accurately with real-time, and with good comunation ability, the system can greatly reduce the possibility of further deterioration of the fault. The control function of automatic tensioning substation is of normal, stable performance, which can achieve the predetermined plan requirements, and provides a reference for the more accurate automatic chain tensioning control method subsequently. Up to now, the system has been adopted to the Xiao Jiawa coal mine in Lvliang city.
