At present, the natural settlement-coagulation-filtration process has always been used in treating heavy oil wastewater in our country, and often adding inorganic dosing in Coagulation and sedimentation to enhance the efficiency of removal oil. But with the quantity of sewage large and quality of produced water deterioration than before, the use of inorganic flocculants caused many problems, high dosage of inorganic flocculent, flocculation slowly,, the filter media was blocked, as well as lower-quality oil recovery and other issues, which caused the secondary pollution for the environment, coagulation equipment need larger area, higher payment of Infrastructure, run.Compared with other treatment, flotation is a high efficiency treatment, including many advantages with shorten hydraulic retention time, better treatment effect, and recyclable valuable materials and so on. These advantages made it used wildly in the world. The restriction of it used in our country is the lag of development in efficient flotation. Now emulsion flotation agents with good performance were already used in foreign country, but research of its preparation has just started developed in our country now. So there are more problems which need us to be solved, such as emulsion instability, poor formation of floc hydrophobic, uneasy to adhere with bubbles. Then it has important meaning to research a efficiency flotation agent.This paper analyzed the problem of poor emulsion stability which preparation by inverse emulsion polymerization, some impact factors of emulsifying type, stirring intensity, and the reaction temperature and like. And finally, we got the stable emulsion by using composite emulsion system, high intensity agitation, reaction starting temperature of 60℃. I do a series of tests of polymer emulsion-freeze-thaw, high temperature stability, storage, and then determined the prepared emulsion has good stability. Meanwhile, considered for the problem of formation of floc hydrophobic poor adhesion with bubbles and the feature of heavy oil sewage, I’m adding to the synthesis of long chain hydrophobic monomers.By observing the phenomenon of flotation experiments and infrared spectroscopy, polymerization of hydrophobic monomers has been identified to involve in and effectively change the surface feature of wet ability of the floc. Floc-strongly adhere with the bubbles, it will not suspended and sink in water in bad condition of hydraulic, and then came up to water surface.Made Evaluated emulsion flotation agent flotation by using indoor dynamic experimental of dissolved air, and treating transmittance as standard. Ultimately determined the best preparation flotation process conditions, and also determined the optimal dosage of flotation -30~40ppm, this dosage far less than the usual flotation agent often used in China. After observing phenomena of floc formation rate and floc-bubble adhesion, a preliminary interpretation has been made for mechanism of emulsion flotation action.It can provide a useful theoretical and thinking for subsequent scholars.
