PA10T is a new type of semi aromatic polyamide material with high temperature resistance of China’s research and development in recent years. With respect to its thermal properties and excellent mechanical properties,however,because it’s very close to the melting point and thermal decomposition,and the melt flow of the high molecular weight material is poor,which is not conducive to the production and processing.For improving the processing performance of the PA10T,this paper put PA1010 and PA10T of aliphatic polyamide copolymer,and explored the impact of PA1010 chain segment content on all aspects of the performance of the material by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical testing instrument (DMA), thermal gravimetric analyzer (TG) and so on.Thermal performance test showed that with the increase of PA1010 segment content, the melting point of the copolymer by 319℃ up dropped to about 280℃,the polymer can still maintain a high melting point when the content of PA1010 chain segment is below 7%,and a high thermal deformation temperature when the PA1010 content is below 5%.The TG test results showed that the introduction of PA1010 segments for the thermal decomposition temperature has no obvious effect, the initial decomposition temperature of the polymer were near 350℃.The DMA test showed that the rigidity of the polymer decreased with the increase of the PA1010 content, but the mechanical stability was improved, and the glass transition temperature of the copolymer was about 120℃.The isothermal crystallization kinetics of the materials were studied by the Avrami equation,the results showed that early in the crystallization, polymer crystal growth pattern for two-dimensional disc growth or one-dimensional fiber growth and two-dimensional discoid growth coexist, and the time of the polymer crystallization becomes longer with the content of PA1010 chains enhance. In the later stage of crystallization, the crystallization rate of polymer is greatly slowed down, and the crystal growth mode is more complicated.The isothermal crystallization kinetic parameters and the equilibrium melting point of the polymer were also calculated.The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of materials were studied by the Avrami equation modified by Jeziorny and Mo method respectively.The results showed that in the early stage of the crystallization process, polymer crystal growth pattern for two-dimensional disc growth and three-dimensional spherulite growth coexist,and the time of the polymer crystallization becomes longer with the content of PA1010 chains enhance.In the late stage of crystallization, the crystallization rate of polymer becomes slower, and the crystallization mode is more complicated.F (T) and a value of non isothermal crystallization of polymers were calculated by means of Mo method.The results of the materials testing of conventional mechanical properties showed that with the increase of content of PA1010 chains, tensile strength and flexural strength of the polymer has declined, the impact strength increased.When the content of PA1010 segments in the 3-5%, the optimal mechanical properties of polymers.The PA1010 chain segment into density and water or oil absorption of materials was not affected, the melt index of material increases gradually. |
