| Rubber/clay nanocomposites have excellent structures and properties that is unrivalled compared with the traditional rubber, so the further research of rubber/clay nanocomposites has very important significance.Three kinds of crystalline rubber(NR, BR, IIR)/organic clay nanocomposites were prepared by melt intercalation method. The effect of the variety and content of organic clay on the vulcanization behavior and mechanical properties was studied, and then using X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) characterize the microstructure and structure. Fouremore, analyzed the reinforcing effect of different rubbers.The result shows that: The crystalline rubber /organic clay nanocomposites prepared by three kinds of organic clay(I.44 p, Bengel434, I.30p) have reached the nanoscale dispersion and the composites type is intercalated nanocomposites, that characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM. Organic clay can promote vulcanization of NR and BR, acting as the accelerator. When the content of organic clay I.44 p in NR, BR nanocomposites is 3 phr and 25 phr has the best reinforcing effect, the tensile strength increased by 191% and 914% respectively; IIR/organic clay nanocomposites have the most optimal comprehensive performance, while Bengel434 content is 5 phr, the tensile strength of the nanocomposites was 21.03 MPa, increased by 102%. NR/I.44 p nanocomposites of Three different matrix nanocomposites has the largest increase mechanical properties, its tensile strength compared to the pure rubber increased by 120.6%; Tear strength increased by 51.3%. |
