Abstract/Summary:
It has been studied in the removal of NO and SO2, respectively. However, the simultaneous removal of SO2 and NO from flue gas by coal chars loaded with Fe-Zn-Cu has not been reported. The effects of temperature, presence of humidity and oxygen were studied as the process parameter. The results were illustrated as breakthrough curves. Seen from the experimental results, it was found that the presence of oxygen cans extent the breakthrough time of removal of SO2 and NO. Humidity enhanced the removal of SO2 but deterred the removal of NO. Besides, the temperature play an important role in the simultaneous removal of SO2 and NO by Fe-Zn-Cu supported over coal chars. To know the role of Fe-Zn-Cu loaded in coal chars through the X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR). The result shows that the metal can catalyze the reduction reaction and react with SO2 and NO. The change of chemical structure in coal chars loaded with Fe-Zn-Cu was characterized by FT-IR which showed SO2 can be absorb and translate into sulfate radical by coal chars loaded with Fe-Zn-Cu.
