As parts of global ecosystem, wetland has provided abundant material and environmental resources, which has crucial ecological service functions. With the background of global change, wetland has great sensitivity and vulnerability. Under the influence of the natural conditions and human activities, the wetland resources are severely damaged, resulting in a variety of wetland issues, such as:wetland area shrinking, ecological pollution, functional degradation and so on. Wetland protection has become a hot topic in the world. In recent years, at home and abroad of wetland research mainly includes the wetland resources investigation, the dynamic change of wetland and wetland ecological evaluation and so on, while the wetland accurate access to information is crucial important. The wetland Classification System was build based on 1990,2000, 2013 satellite images of wetland in Eastern Inner Mongolia. In order to classified wetland information of Eastern Inner Mongolia, using the Object-oriented Classification Method and Multi-scale segmentation, and combined with field survey data. The Eastern Inner Mongolia was divided into four parts according to the administrative region, discuss the distribution characteristics and dynamic changes of constructed wetland and natural wetlands. And analyze the driving factors. Results indicated:l.The wetland area in 2013 was observed to be 41100km2 for Eastern Inner Mongolia, and the wetland rate was 8.90%. Compared with the National Wetland rate (5.58%), the wetland in Eastern Inner Mongolia was significantly higher than the national average level, which belongs to the part of the second wetland distribution areas (Northeast China) in China.2.The distribution of wetland had obvious geographical features, Hulunbeier is the most important natural wetland area, which accounts for 80% of natural wetlands in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia; Constructed wetlands were mainly distributed in Xingan Meng and Chifeng, which accounts for 63% of the whole wetland in Eastern Inner Mongolia.3.Notable loss of wetland was observed in Eastern Inner Mongolia during 1990 -2013, about 2700km2(6.8% of natural wetland). The most significant decrease in wetland area was Tongliao, about 776km2, the loss of the area accounted for nearly 50%.4.While significant increased area was observed in constructed wetland of Xingan Meng with an increase area of 63 km2, increase about 87%.5.Under the influence of climate change and human activities, Marsh wetland is the most significant wetland type, and the loss area of wetland in Eastern Inner Mongolia was 2498km2. There were clear differences in the impacts of climatic and human factors on the different wetland types, while human activities may be the leading factor.
