In the process of oilfield development, conditions of the well bore wax vary due to the different blocks, reservoirs and different stages of production wells, whose mining methods, physical properties of crude oil, wax content, differences between temperature and flow conditions are various. And these above would enforce the chemical anti wax technology applied in the wax agent and it’s dosage to be adjusted accordingly.Therefore, it is very necessary for us to determine the paraffin inhibiting rate scientifically and accurately, which will help to select the suitable paraffin wax agent adapted the actual wax oil production and make clear it’s optimum concentration under exploring the adaptability between paraffin wax agent and chemical anti wax process.To meet the need for oil paraffin inhibitor performance test, the topic used a combination method of theoretical calculation, numerical simulation and experimental study to develop a new device for performance test of paraffin inhibitor, which was based on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanical engineering and design,scientific computing and automation control. The use of new paraffin inhibitor performance test device would simulate oil well production environment under the laboratory experimental conditions, then laid a solid foundation of carrying out the well bore paraffin deposition law, the paraffin inhibitor performance evaluation and its optimization, which is of important theoretical significance and practical value.Through the research, the following results and understandings were obtained:According to the theory of similarity, a corresponding physical model has been established based on wax oil well production data. By means of simulation analysis of the paraffin deposit tube size, flow and temperature difference, the major technical indexes of new wax agent performance test device have been identified, as described below: the size of the paraffin deposit tube designed as 50.66 mm with its length 400mm;the range of water bath temperature control designed from 20℃ to 100℃; the range of sample solution temperature control designed from 20℃ to 80℃; the circulating pump parameter designed from 0 to 1.5m3/h. During the process of contrast argument and numerical calculation, the overall design, functional design, component design,acquisition and control design of a new type of paraffin inhibitor performance test experiment device have been completed with modular approaches. Through the controlof the main parameters, such as temperature and flow, performance test and evaluation of the paraffin inhibitor has been realized under the simulated oil well production environment. After the water bath, oil tank and control cabinet have been assembled according to module, composition of the new paraffin inhibitor performance test device would be equipped. Then debugged and ran on its performance through the verification.At last, the corresponding experimental methods were proposed. The newly developed paraffin inhibitor performance test device has been used to carry out experimental effects on wax deposition rate, including flow, temperature difference and the moisture content parameters. And the experimental results turned out to be basically consistent with the simulation results reported before. Then three kinds of paraffin inhibitor commonly used in oilfield named CQ-1, CQ-2 and CQ-3 have been screened to optimize the paraffin inhibitor CQ-2, which was suitable for the oilfield production environment. Its best use concentration range was finally determined from 2000 ppm to4000ppm.
