The production of Polyester is highest in Chemical fiber.Polyester is widely used in Conveyor belt, Automotive fiber, Filtering material for its excellent performance such as High modulus,High strength,fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, heat stability. But Polyester has no more Polar groups in addition to hydroxide radical and carboxyl at both ends of macromolecular chain,so the adhesive property of polyester is poor.The method used to improve the polyester adhesive properties are mainly using two impregnation or multiple impregnation,a modified impregnation, improve sizing formula and polyester fiber surface modification.This paper uses three kinds of adhesive properties of different surface modification methods of polyester were improved. Three methods include chemical grafting, alkali treatment, amine treatment.Study on the chemical grafting mainly includes:analysis of the chemical reaction mechanism,the grafting conditions (such as reaction time, reaction temperature, monomer concentration, initiator concentration) effect on grafting rate were studied, The optimal reaction conditions:reaction temperature is 80℃,reaction time is 3h, monomer concentration is 0.792mol/l, initiator concentration is 12.39mmol/l, grafting rate was 10.57%; by SEM and FTIR to verify HAM has been successfully grafted onto the polyester; and analyzes the changes of mechanical properties of polyester after grafting.Study on alkali treatment include:the analysis of mechanism of alkali treatment and alkali hydrolysis conditions (such as reaction temperature, reaction time, concentration of sodium hydroxide) effect on the deweighting ratio were analyzed, in the alkali treatment temperature is the most important factor, the alkali concentration is 0.175mol/l, reaction time is 50min, reaction temperature is 90℃, get the best treatment effect of alkali, the deweighting ratio is 3.913%; the surface morphology of PET scanning electron microscope observation found that after alkali treatment of polyester fiber surface roughness change from smooth, and there are many craters on the surface; through the analysis of mechanical changes revealed that alkali treatment can reduce the tensile strength and elongation of polyester.Study on amine treatment mainly includes:analysis of the mechanism of amine treatment, and the conditions of amine treatment (such as the concentration of ethylenediamine, reaction time, reaction temperature) effect on the deweighting ratio were analyzed.; the optimum process was find:concentration of ethylenediamine is 0.083mol/l, reaction time is 40min, reaction temperature is 70℃, the deweighting ratio is 7.63%, the polyester surface morphology of SEM observation, found that after amine treatment in polyester surface roughness change from smooth, and there are many craters on the surface, analysis of mechanical properties shows that the mechanical properties of the polyester amine solution also caused a loss. In three kinds of surface modification, adhesion to polyester and rubber measurement by stripping force, found that three of adhesion can play a good improvement.
