Based on the relevant research data at home and abroad, this paper is about the Calcium-base bentonite and the organic bentonite absorption properties of crystal violet. Using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and octadecyl amine polyoxyethylene ether double quaternary ammonium salt (Gemini31512) modified natural calcium base bentonite analyzes the adsorption influence of adsorbent dosage, adsorption time, pH value, temperature. Calcium base bentonite and organic bentonite is studied on the adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherm of crystal violet. The results obtained are listed as follows:(1) When the addition amount of SDS and Gemini31512 is 25% CEC and 25% CEC, the optimal results have been achieved. The analysis by XRD, FTIR and TG showed that the modifier does not destroy the structure of bentonite, and make d001 layer spacing increase to 1.79 nm.(2) The main factors of the bentonite adsorption effect on crystal violet are adsorbent dosage and adsorption time, but initial pH and temperature is the secondary factors.(3) Organic bentonite on the adsorption of crystal violet performance is better than that of calcium base bentonite. When the adsorption time is for 15 min, adsorption temperature is 60℃, the initial pH of 9, the removal rate of organic bentonite of crystal violet was 99.27%, and the COD removal rate was 85.29%. Under the same conditions, the same amount of calcium base bentonite on the removal rate of crystal violet was 97.79%, the COD removal rate was 71.64%.(4) Organic bentonite and calcium base bentonite on the adsorption of crystal violet are all conform to the dynamics equation of Lagergren quasi secondary.(5) Calcium base bentonite on the adsorption of crystal violet are better according with the Freundlich adsorption isotherm, but organic bentonite on the adsorption of crystal violet are better according with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm.
