According to the high activity of conjugated triene structure of tung oil, which has the advantages of fast drying, good gloss, adhesion, good corrosion resistance, good insulation properties and heat resistance as well as other advantages. Meanwhile, epoxy resin contains epoxy with high activity, it is prone to chemical reaction, and it has high adhesion, excellent resistance to corrosion and insulation properties. Using epoxy resin modified tung oil makes the materials not only have the advantage of tung oil, but also show the advantages of epoxy resin.In this paper, tung oil, maleic anhydride, polyethylene glycol (PEG) and epoxy resin were chosen as raw materials. First of all, tung oil and maleic anhydride was synthesized to tung oil anhydride adduct with a light yellow transparent through Diels-alder reaction, and then epoxy resin modified tung oil water resin was synthesized by open loop esterification reaction in the role of catalyst. Meanwhile, a new blocked hexamethylene diisocyanate was chosen as curing agent in preparing for epoxy resin modified tung oil waterborne insulation paint. In the experiment, the optimum reaction conditions of epoxy resin were determined. At the same time, the effect of epoxy resin content on thermal stability, the water absorption rate and insulation performance (insulation strength, volume resistivity and surface resistivity), and the salt water resistance of films was evaluated. Experimental results show that the increase of epoxy resin content can not only improve the thermal stability and insulation performance of films, but also reduce the water absorption rate of films, however, the water soluble of resin will become poor, especially when the epoxy resin content was 30%, the water soluble of insulating paint was poor. With the increase of epoxy resin content, the hardness and adhesion of films were improved, but the flexibility of films became poor. Therefore, epoxy resin content of 25% was chosen to prepare epoxy resin modified tung oil waterborne insulation paint with excellent properties.NanoTiO2/polymer AF coating was prepared by epoxy resin modified tung oil waterborne insulation paint and adding TiO2 nanoparticles as antifouling agent, the aim of paper mainly studied the mechanism of AF coating and explored the antifouling effect of AF coating in dark and light under different conditions, meanwhile, the antimicrobial properties of AF coatings were tested by gram positive bacteria Staphylococcus cocci and gram negative bacteria Escherichia coli. In addition, the inhibitory effect of AF coating on the diatom was explored, and the experimental results show that nanoTiO2/polymer AF coating has good antifouling effect.
