In recent years, due to greatly promote the development of the industry, green chemisty is considered to be one of the most ideal way to solve the problem of energy crisis. Glycerol is a kind of easy and cheap and renewable raw materials, it is made from sugar, grease or vegetable oil and other biological resources through processing and get it. Using glycerol catalytic hydrogenolysis reaction to produce glycol.In the food industry,1,2-PDO is used for food emulsifier, 1,2-PDO is a good solvent condiments and pigment. In the pharmaceutical industry,1,2-PDO is used for manufacturing various ointment. And it is used as a harmonic agent, preservative, ointment, vitamins. Now people are raising the awareness of environmental protection,But traditional resources are dwindling. Using glycerol catalytic hydrogenolysis reaction to produce glycol, on the production cost and environmental friendly has an obvious advantage.According to the different kinds of molecular catalyst CuO-ZnO-X(X= MCM-22、ZSM-5、MCM-49、ZSM-22),Based on the catalytic activity of CuO-ZnO-X catalyst, we have found in trials, the best catalyst of catalytic activity is CuO-ZnOMCM-49.Conversion rate can reach 89%.Using coprecipitation preparation a series of different content of molecular sieve CuO- ZnOMCM-49 catalyst(CuO-ZnO content were 95%,90%,85%,80%,75%),through a variety of characterization methods BET, XRD,NH3-TPD,H2-TPR,SEM characterization results conclude that CuO-ZnO content was 20% of CuO-Zn O-MCM-49.Catalytic activity is the best.Glycerol conversion rate can reach 99.4%.
