| In more than a century, porphyrins and their derivatives have received extensive attentions, and in recent years, scientists synthesized a series of model compounds with a centered modified porphyrin ring. Porphyrins are playing very important roles in many fields, such as simulating life processes in living organisms, photoelectric materials, catalysis, solar cells, and so on. A tailed-porphyrin is a kind of asymmetric porphyrin. Its ligands are usually connected to the benzene ring of the porphyrin by covalent bonds, to achieve some special requirements of structures or properties. On the other hand, the structure of manganese(â…¡) porphyrins is considered as a model for manganese-substituted heme proteins, and the manganese(â…¡) atom is supposed to be an acceptable substitute for iron(â…¢) atom in some reactions. So, manganese(â…¡) porphyrins also gained plenty of attentions in the study of heme proteins. In this paper, a new tailed-porphyrin H2 TPP-Bzlm, its different transition metalloporphyrins (Fe, Co, Zn), and Meso-tetraphenylporphinato-(1,2-dimethyl imidazole)-manganese(â…¡), [Mn(TPP)(1,2-Me2Im)] were synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, MS, IR, UV-Vis, and the spectral and electrochemical properties were studied by UV-Vis, fluorescence spectrum and CV method. The results show that compared with tetraphenyporphyrin(H2TPP), the absorption and emission peaks of the tailed porphyrin are apparently red-shifted; the CV curves of Fe, Co metalloporphyrins indicate that in addition to the redox on the porphyrin ring, Fe and Co undergo the changing of oxidation state; [Mn(TPP)(1,2-Me2Im)] was crystallized and the crystal structure was characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. |
