Liquefied natural gas(LNG) technology makes the existence of natural gas in liquid form, not only convenient for transportation and storage of natural gas, but also a strong promotion of natural gas trade, and promote the development of natural gas applications. In recent decades, liquefied natural gas industry has become an emerging industry and has been rapid development. The application technology of LNG in addition to solve the natural gas storage and transportation problem and widely used in peak shaving, transportation and cold energy utilization etc. LNG storage tank is a kind of unit equipment in LNG industrial chain, but because it is not only an important equipment to link the upstream production and downstream users, but also the storage tanks for liquefied plant or receiving station, it has a high investment ratio, so the world is very important to LNG storage tanks and construction.Based on detailed analysis of the characteristics of LNG, according to the price of various materials and its low temperature characteristics after a comprehensive comparison, as well as the latest small stainless steel LNG tank design and selection of domestic independent production of stainless steel 0Cr18Ni9. In order to ensure the stability and safety of the mechanical properties of the storage tank, the use of domestic independent production of material can reduce the cost, and the cost of the storage tank is greatly reduced. Because the external tank does not have direct contact with liquefied natural gas, does not bear the low temperature, under normal temperature and vacuum conditions, under the external pressure, so it can choose a better comprehensive performance of Q345 R.In this design, the insulation of LNG storage tank is vacuum powder insulated, and the inner tank is supported by the bottom support and lateral position. The supporting structure is used to reduce the leakage of heat. The whole storage tank is not need to be designed with strong ring. In order to make the tank not in the helium leak occurred when the instability and failure, in the content for each 300 mm set a stiffening ring. It is proved that this method can effectively ensure the safety of the container without increasing the wall thickness of the vessel. The LNG storage tank is arranged in one end of the tank, and the pipe in the interlayer is designed to be S shaped, so as to achieve the purpose of optimizing the pipeline design.All in all, after the design and theoretical analysis of the structural design and theoretical analysis of the tank, the tank of the LNG can meet the design requirements and ensure the strength and stability. Under the premise of ensuring the stability and safety of the mechanical properties of the storage tank, the most favorable structural form and material for the design of the LNG storage tank are chosen, which not only ensures the safety of the storage tank, but also realizes its economic performance.
