The paper introduces gas gathering trunk line engineering project to keep gas transmission steadily and meet natural gas requirements downstream from Yan Chang purification plant to Yao Dian gas transmission station. Thus, it can promote efficient use of natural gas, optimize energy structure and promote low-carbon urban construction.Firstly, Based on pipeline selection standards, initial station location, terminal station location and the area’s situation, the paper optimizes one between two laying pipes through the area’s situation, social relying, safety management and analysis of the technical feasibility. Also, ensuring facilities program of the pipeline laying and crossing. According to the principle for gas distribution and practical project, the paper optimizes one between two gas distribution programs through calculating the maximum flow. Gas transmission program is determined by the process calculation, using PipelineStudio which is a kind of gas pipeline simulation software produced from ESI company. Adaptability analysis of pipeline is conducted. The result shows that the program can meet the requirements of pressure and flow in the project. After calculation, determining the steel grades, pipe types, pipe material and the total amount of steel. The pipeline strength and stability are also checking. The station setting program, station technology, equipment selection and pipe materials are studied according to the design principles and standards of station. At last, the paper determines the pipeline, station, pipe in the valve chamber, outer corrosion prevention, cathodic protection program, pipe in the station and equipment insulation program through analysis.
