Art CAM software can transform the plane data like picture, grey-scale map, CAD, rendering, scanning file and so on into a rich and meticulous three-dimensional relief model. At the same time,Art CAM relief design software can also produce NC code, which is Recognized by most mainstream numerically-controlled machines. This software has been occupying the relief design software industry market gradually by its friendly interface and powerful function. Currently, foreign countries mainly apply this software to the mold design of jewelry and coin. Due to the privacy of this item, the public research documents are very few. Our country starts to research this software in 2014,mainly in its application in digital products industry, carpentry industry, stone industry, escutcheon industry and so on. Till now, in the data base from CNKI(China National Knowledge Internet), there are only 10 pieces of relevant research documents at home. Moreover, the result of research presents several problems, such as simplify, unsystematic and the after-treatment optimized designs are uninvolved. In addition, there are no conference books of this software for sale in today’s physical store or internet bookstore. This article combines writer’s practical work and teaching experience, through researching the Art CAM software and CM6060 CNC engraving and milling machine to solve some problems of currently Art CAM software research. Which can inspire the programmers and machine operators.This article mainly use case-based resolution, experimental method, combining the experience of virtual operation. The key point of the research is the way of creating and optimizing three-dimensional relief models by vector, bitmap, grey-scale map and mixed mode. Meanwhile, it also uses optimizing compile to model, producing the numerically-controlled processing code recognized by CNC engraving and milling machine.Also, it researches CM6060 CNC engraving and milling processing craft.Through the research, this article concludes the common used and needed tool materials in engraving and milling process and dedicated clamping method. It gives the way of creating Art CAM software model, mainly researching the way of using tools like bitmap tool, vector tool and three-dimensional design and so on. It selects four representative examples to introduce how to create relief model through vector, bitmap and mixed method, putting forward the optimizing design scheme of creating model. To combine with the practical examples, it provides several kinds of typical tool optimizing design thinking, finishing the design of Fagor 8055 M NC system after-treatment optimized design. Demonstrating the way of operating CM6060 and Fagor NC system, which including transmission procedure, the clamping of the tool and work piece, the practical operation of machine and so on. It provides Win DNC’s parameter setting to transmission procedure. At the end of this article, this article shows the example of designing and processing the ‘hundreds of birds worshipping the phoenix’, presenting the whole flowchart of relief processing. Also,it finishes the processing of the end product.
