People are more and more concerned with the health, their consciousness of antimicrobial also enhances unceasingly. Therefore we intend to develop a kind of bacteriostatic diatomite wallpaper, which can utilize diatomite’s function of adjusting humidity and deodorant. If loaded antimicrobial, it would have many functions, such as adjusting moisture and antibacterial, deodorization, etc. Then it would meet human’s multiple requirements to wallpaper. This paper is developed by using the method of antimicrobial agent on the diatomite load wallpaper with multi-function diatomite coating, given that this group in the aspect of diatomite wallpaper of a large number of research results, this paper developed antimicrobial properties of diatomite coating, for the development of multifunctional wallpaper provides research foundation. Thesis mainly through the load on the diatomite TiO2, doped zinc, doping of Fe and Cu load means giving diatomite coating antibacterial properties. Study found that by load on diatomite TiO2 gives our diatomite coating must have antibacterial properties, by doping of different metal ions, the antibacterial performance differences. Through orthogonal experiment, the level of test paper to load process is optimized. The optimal conditions of loading TiO2 on calcined diatomite are as follows:loads of TiO2 in theory is 100%, reaction temperature is 80 ℃, concentration of urea is 0.2 mol/L, reaction time is 1h. The optimal conditions of load TiO2 on raw diatomite are as follows:75% loads of TiO2 in theory,80℃,0.2 mol/L urea,1 h reaction time. The optimal concentration of ZnAc solution for doping Zn into diatomite after TiO2 is 0.02 mol/L.The optimal concentration of ZnAc solution for doping Zn into diatomite before TiO2 is 0.01 mol/L. Doping Zn before loading TiO2 is more effective and more economical. The optimal conditions of loading Cu on calcined diatomite are as follows:reaction temperature is 60 ℃, reaction time is 3 h, solid-liquid ratio is 1:8, concentration of CuSO4 solution is 0.08 mol/L. The optimal conditions of loading Cu on raw diatomite are as follows:reaction temperature is 60℃, reaction time is 3 h, solid-liquid ratio is 1:10, concentration of CuSO4 solution is 0.10 mol/L.Diatomite loaded TiO2 and doped with Zn has relatively poor antibacterial performance, high cost, and relatively complex process. Diatomite loaded Cu has a relatively good antibacterial performance, low cost and simple process, but the diatomite would be dyed blue then would impact the printing and appearance of wallpaper.
