Machining accuracy is an important indicator of its performance evaluation, in addition to its structure, as well as characteristics of the various joint interfaces are the factors affecting the joints of the machine accuracy. Numerous studies show that the deformation of the machine caused by the joint interfaces is about 80% of the total amount of deformation. So it is very important to study the dynamic characteristics of machine considering the effects of joint interfaces. Ideally, in the process of designing machine, we can use the existing theoretical formulas and the actual design parameters to do the simulation of modal with the efficient simulation of the joint interfaces effects to the dynamic characteristics. So we can design and modify at the same time, avoid designing prototype to try and modify repeatedly and improve the efficiency and economy.By searching a large number of related literatures, there are many methods calculating the parameters of the joint interfaces according to the theories and simulations about a certain kind of joint interfaces. But the literature about the simulation of assemblies considering effects of several different joint interfaces is very rare. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics simulation about the machine which is being designed to polish the gas block considers four kinds of different joint interfaces. They are bolting, bearings, ball screws and linear rolling guide. Comparing to the simulation ignoring effects of joint interfaces, the feasibility, reasonableness and accuracy of dealing with several kinds of joint interfaces will be discussed. The main contents are as follows:(1) According to the need of the company and the characteristics of the gas block, determine the polishing method by understanding character of variety kinds of polishing methods.(2) Participate in part of the design of the polishing machine, including the design of jig and feed system and the choice of the swing cylinder.(3) Summarize and sort out the simulation models and theoretical formulas of variety kinds of joint interfaces, choose reasonable methods and theoretical formulas.(4) Accomplish the Three-dimensional modeling of polishing machine, and calculate actual parameters of joint interfaces according to the theoretical formulas and model.(5) Accomplish the pretreatment of finite element model, including integrating finite element model, establishing hardpoints, meshing and establish spring elements.(6) By comparing the simulations results of considering and ignoring effects of joint interfaces, verify the feasibility, reasonableness and accuracy of dealing with joint interfaces then propose some flaws and improvement direction.
